Imbolc Celebration 2007Imbolc was a great success (of course). We had about 20 people arrive for a ritual that celebrated Brighid on Her day. Jon Edens led the ritual with his wife assisting as High Priestess. During the ritual everyone infused beans with their dreams and desires for the coming year and put them out into the field to grow to fruition. There was a lot of laughter and frivolity during the ritual and a few participants complained of not being able to breathe because they were laughing so hard. Celebrations are after all, just that... celebrations. We should all enjoy them fully and celebrate the Turning of the Wheel with our friends and family. We were blessed to have a special guest attend the ritual and celebration. A professor from a local university came by to observe the ritual and to see what it was all about. We regret she stayed outside the Circle for the ritual but we still enjoyed her being there. Just to mention, it was cold... very cold that night. The bonfire was a great relief for those who stayed outside. The rest of the folks huddled in the house and conversed about everything from past lives to the fact that we had waaaaayyyy too many Gemini's at the ritual... Double the pleasure, double the fun...
