Beltane Celebration 2009
May 9th, 2009
Scotsmen and Nymphs!
Blackberry Circle will be celebrating Beltane with a Scotsmen and Nymphs evening. Festivities will begin at 19:30 (7:30 pm) and continue until... well, who knows.
Imagine, if you will, being transported to a time and a world where Scotsmen roamed the countryside in search of their little sheep... er... their luck. Watching from behind the rocks and trees are those pesky (sounds like sexy) nymphs just waiting to cause, um, problems.
You can now join us in this land and time on May 9th at Blackberry Circle. Men, wear your kilts of aprons if you have them. Women, you are the nymphs. If you don't have anything of the sort to wear then simply arrive with your worst Scottish accent.
This is a major fertility celebration in our belief system and because of the possible sexual innuendos children and teens under 18 will not be allowed. If you are 18 or older but have the mind of a 14 year old, well, that is acceptable since we have Keith.
Anyway folks, come and join us in this celebration. Bring your favorite dish for the feast following ritual and if you have something that makes noise, something similar to music, then bring it as well.
So, just so we have a clear list, here is what we have and you should bring...
- Wear something Scottish or nymphy. If you don't have anything then you only have to have a really bad accent.
- Bring a food item that you would enjoy sharing with folks for the feast following the ritual
- Bring any musical instrument or noise maker
- Make sure you bring an extra set of... well, humour
- NOBODY UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE
Oh, and make sure you leave your fur children at home since sheep will be provided.
